"Showing my art at Le Perigord—the legendary Upper East Side gem that once hosted icons like Elizabeth Taylor. Though this historic French restaurant closed its doors in 2017 after 53 years of elegance, it made the perfect backdrop for my artworks. A moment where art and history intertwined!"

West Harlem Artist Showcase | Harlem Night Market 2025
West Harlem is more than a place—it’s a living legacy of culture, resilience, and creativity. This year’s West Harlem Artist Showcase at the Harlem Night Market features seven artists whose work speaks to the soul of our community.
From portraits to landscapes, abstract works to surreal visions, this exhibition reflects Harlem’s diversity in both form and story. Featured artists include:Sage Gallon, Junny Ann Hibbert, Rafaela Luna, Sandie Peters, Sonia Lerebours, and myself, Ruthy Valdez—each of us offering unique reflections of identity, heritage, and place.
Just as the Uptown Night Market celebrates global flavors, this showcase feeds the spirit with visual storytelling rooted in West Harlem’s history and heartbeat.
Special thanks to the West Harlem Alliance for supporting this vision and making space for art to flourish.
Come witness Harlem through our eyes.
Come feel its rhythm in every brushstroke.
Come celebrate the art of Harlem, in Harlem.
